Pile (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is developed by Ralph Ordanza. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data when you use the Pile app.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide

Task text — the tasks you type, dictate, or extract from photos are stored locally on your device. We do not upload your task list to any server we control.

Voice recordings

When you use the voice brain-dump feature, a short audio recording is captured on your device and sent to Deepgram (deepgram.com) for transcription. The audio is transmitted over HTTPS and is not stored by us after the transcription is returned. Deepgram’s own privacy policy governs how they handle audio data.

Photos and images

When you use the photo brain-dump feature, the image you select is sent to Anthropic (anthropic.com) for AI-based task extraction. The image is transmitted over HTTPS and is not retained by us after the response is returned. Anthropic’s privacy policy governs how they handle image data.

Notification preferences

Your chosen reminder times and notification settings are stored locally on your device and are never transmitted off it.

Trial and subscription data

Subscription and purchase information is managed by RevenueCat (revenuecat.com). RevenueCat's own privacy policy governs the data they collect.
